Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has extended best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1136. Nepal Sambat is the original calendar of Nepal, he said in the message of best wishes today.
Reminding that Nepal Sambat was introduced by national luminary Sankhadhar Sakhwa by ridding Nepali farmers from debts, PM Oli said it is a home-grown calendar. It is not the calendar of any rule but of the people, added the PM.
In the message, PM Oli further said liberating people from debts and poverty, Sakhwa was a social reformist, and originator of the Nepal Sambat.
On this occasion, Nepalis need to foster national unity and keep intact social harmony, stressed the PM.
He also reminded that all Nepalis have the responsibility to devote to the democracy, peace, stability, social justice, equality and national unity. RSS
